And said to Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech you, our supplication be accepted before you, and pray for us to the LORD your God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few out of many, as your eyes do see us:)

13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us: yet we have not made our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities and understand Your truth.
32 Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and mercy, do not let all the hardship seem little before You that has come upon us, our kings, our princes, our priests, our prophets, our forefathers, and all Your people, from the days of the kings of Assyria until this day.
33 However, You are just in all that has come upon us; for You have done right, but we have acted wickedly.

14 Should we again break Your commandments and join in affinity with the peoples of these abominations? Would You not be angry with us until You had consumed us, so that there should be no remnant or escaping?
15 O LORD God of Israel, You are righteous, for we remain yet as escaped, as it is this day. Behold, we are before You in our trespasses, for we cannot stand before You because of this.
20 Therefore hear now, I pray you, O my lord the king: let my plea, I pray you, be accepted before you, that you do not cause me to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.
18 O my God, incline Your ear, and hear; open Your eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name: for we do not present our supplications before You for our righteousness, but for Your great mercies.
18 But if they are prophets, and if the word of the LORD is with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

6 Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.
10 And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken Your commandments,
1 These are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the remaining elders who were taken captive, and to the priests, the prophets, and all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken captive from Jerusalem to Babylon.
18 And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
17 But we will certainly do whatever thing proceeds out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then we had plenty of food, and were well, and saw no evil.
4 It may be the LORD your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD your God has heard: therefore, lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.
2 And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said to him, The LORD your God has pronounced this calamity upon this place.
11 But it came to pass, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell in Jerusalem.
4 It may be the LORD your God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to reproach the living God; and will rebuke the words which the LORD your God has heard: therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that are left.
6 Then Jeremiah went to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people who were left in the land.
21 Yes, thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;
8 And now for a little while grace has been shown from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
