34 Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me, he has crushed me, he has made me an empty vessel; he has swallowed me up like a monster, he has filled his belly with my delicacies, he has thrown me out.
35 The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.
36 Therefore thus says the LORD: Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you; and I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.
37 Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment, and a hissing, without an inhabitant.
38 They shall roar together like lions; they shall growl like lions' cubs.
13 Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be utterly desolate: everyone who passes by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

9 And, behold, here comes a chariot of men with a pair of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the carved images of her gods he has shattered to the ground.
11 And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
64 And you shall say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her; and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
43 The king of Babylon has heard the report of them, and his hands grew feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in labor.
