41 How is Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how has Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!
12 Then came the word of the LORD to Jeremiah, saying,
28 Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:
33 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor; it is time to thresh her; yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.
1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.
31 One runner shall meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to show the king of Babylon that his city is taken wholly,
