And he said, No; but as captain of the army of the LORD have I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshiped, and said to him, What does my lord say to his servant?

10 And the LORD said to Joshua, Get up; why are you lying thus upon your face?
8 And they said to Joshua, We are your servants. And Joshua said to them, Who are you? and where do you come from?
9 And they said to him, From a very far country your servants have come because of the name of the LORD your God: for we have heard of His fame, and all that He did in Egypt,
5 And when he came, behold, the captains of the army were sitting; and he said, I have a message for you, O captain. And Jehu said, To which of us all? And he said, To you, O captain.
7 And the LORD said to Joshua, This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.
8 And you shall command the priests who bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When you come to the edge of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand still in the Jordan.
9 And Joshua said to the children of Israel, Come here and hear the words of the LORD your God.
6 And Joshua tore his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the evening, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.
7 And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, why have you at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of Jordan!
8 O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turns their backs before their enemies?
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, it happened that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' assistant, saying,
8 And the LORD said to Joshua, Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you.
21 And the people said to Joshua, No; but we will serve the LORD.
1 The LORD also spoke to Joshua, saying,
24 And it happened, when they brought those kings to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel and said to the captains of the men of war who went with him, Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings. And they came near and put their feet on their necks.
25 Then Joshua said to them, Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage, for the LORD will do this to all your enemies against whom you fight.
1 And the LORD said to Joshua, Do not fear or be dismayed; take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Ai; see, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land.
23 Now therefore put away, said he, the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the LORD God of Israel.
24 And the people said to Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
42 And the LORD said to me, Tell them, Do not go up or fight, because I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies.
