16After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half of Bethzur, to the place opposite the sepulchres of David, and to the pool that was constructed, and to the house of the mighty.
17After him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next to him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of half of Keilah, in his section.
18After him repaired their brethren, Bavai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half of Keilah.

17Then I said to them, You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come, let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.
6So we built the wall; and all the wall was joined together up to half its height: for the people had a mind to work.
7But it happened, when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabians, the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites heard that the walls of Jerusalem were repaired, and the breaches began to be stopped, they were very angry,
15Then I went up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and entered by the valley gate, and so returned.
33And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
6To carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and cut stone to repair the house.
3At the same time, Tatnai, governor on this side of the river, and Shetharboznai, and their companions, came to them and said, Who has commanded you to build this house and to finish this wall?
1Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and the Levites were appointed,

3And they said to me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.
17Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked in the construction, and with the other held a weapon.
13So the workmen worked, and the work was completed by them, and they set the house of God in its state, and strengthened it.
26These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
9Then we asked those elders and said to them, Who commanded you to build this house and to finish these walls?
10And you have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses you have broken down to fortify the wall.
3And I said to them, Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they are standing by, let them shut and bar the doors: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one opposite his house.
7and I came to Jerusalem and discovered the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah by preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God.
