7And why discourage the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD has given them?
1Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great number of cattle; and when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, they realized that the place was suitable for cattle.
2The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the leaders of the congregation, saying,
20And Moses said to them, If you will do this thing, if you will go armed before the LORD to war,
21And will all of you go armed over the Jordan before the LORD, until he has driven out his enemies from before him,

15until the LORD has given your brethren rest, as he has given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God is giving them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD's servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrise.
25For the LORD has made the Jordan a border between us and you, children of Reuben and children of Gad; you have no part in the LORD. So your children might make our children cease from fearing the LORD.
1Then Joshua called the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh,
6These did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel strike: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession to the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
33And the thing pleased the children of Israel, and the children of Israel blessed God, and did not intend to go up against them in battle, to destroy the land where the children of Reuben and Gad dwelt.
8With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them;
24And Moses gave inheritance to the tribe of Gad, even to the children of Gad according to their families.

42And the LORD said to me, Tell them, Do not go up or fight, because I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies.
11And the children of Israel heard it said, Behold, the children of Reuben, the children of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar across from the land of Canaan, in the borders of the Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel.
12And when the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh to go up to war against them.
7And Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of good courage: for you must go with this people to the land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.
4And now the LORD your God has given rest to your brethren, as He promised them; therefore now return and go back to your tents, and to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side of the Jordan.
29And Moses said to Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, We are journeying to the place which the LORD said, I will give it to you: come with us, and we will do you good: for the LORD has spoken good concerning Israel.
30And he said to him, I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my kindred.
43Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, on the plain land of the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, of the Manassites.
3Why has the LORD brought us to this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be prey? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?
42And from the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men who went to war,
52And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
41And Moses said, Why now do you transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.
8And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.
