23Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then you rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and you did not believe him, nor listen to his voice.
28But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him, for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you see.
31But your little ones, which you said would be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which you have despised.
41And Moses said, Why now do you transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.
52Yet you shall see the land before you; but you shall not go there to the land which I give the children of Israel.
47For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land which you go over Jordan to possess it.
9And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them, for we have seen the land, and behold, it is very good; are you still? Do not be lazy to go and to enter to possess the land.

7Turn, and take your journey, and go to the mountain of the Amorites, and to all the places near there, in the plain, in the hills, and in the valley, and in the south, and by the sea, to the land of the Canaanites, and to Lebanon, to the great river, the river Euphrates.

20And Moses said to them, If you will do this thing, if you will go armed before the LORD to war,

42And the LORD said to me, Tell them, Do not go up or fight, because I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies.
8With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them;
16And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
1Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great number of cattle; and when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, they realized that the place was suitable for cattle.
2The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the leaders of the congregation, saying,
6For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people who were men of war, who came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they did not obey the voice of the LORD, to whom the LORD swore that He would not show them the land which the LORD had sworn to their fathers that He would give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
4And they journeyed from Mount Hor by the way of the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
7And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, why have you at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of Jordan!
