14You must investigate thoroughly and inquire carefully. If it is indeed true that such a disgraceful thing is being done among you,

18Beware that the heart of no man, woman, clan, or tribe among you turns away from the LORD our God today to pursue and serve the gods of those nations; beware that there is among you no root producing poisonous and bitter fruit.
6False Prophets in the Family Suppose your own full brother, your son, your daughter, your beloved wife, or your closest friend should seduce you secretly and encourage you to go and serve other gods that neither you nor your ancestors have previously known,
7the gods of the surrounding people(whether near you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other).
15The one caught with the riches must be burned up along with all who belong to him, because he violated the LORD’s covenant and did such a disgraceful thing in Israel.’”
16For anyone who acts dishonestly in these ways is abhorrent to the LORD your God.
20But if the accusation is true and the young woman was not a virgin,
21the men of her city must bring the young woman to the door of her father’s house and stone her to death, for she has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by behaving like a prostitute while living in her father’s house. In this way you will purge evil from among you.
22If a man is discovered in bed with a married woman both the man lying in bed with the woman and the woman herself must die; in this way you will purge evil from Israel.
23If a virgin is engaged to a man and another man meets her in the city and goes to bed with her,
24you must bring the two of them to the gate of that city and stone them to death, the young woman because she did not cry out though in the city and the man because he violated his neighbor’s fiancée; in this way you will purge evil from among you.
12Whoever does these things is abhorrent to the LORD and because of these detestable things the LORD your God is about to drive them out from before you.
15Be careful not to make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to their gods, and someone invites you, you will eat from his sacrifice;
12“Speak to the Israelites and tell them,‘If any man’s wife goes astray and behaves unfaithfully toward him,
13and a man goes to bed with her, for sexual relations, without her husband knowing it, and it is hidden that she has defiled herself, since there was no witness against her, nor was she caught–
6“Tell the Israelites,‘When a man or a woman commits any sin that people commit, thereby breaking faith with the LORD, and that person is found guilty,
9Provision for Prophetism When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, you must not learn the abhorrent practices of those nations.
10There must never be found among you anyone who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, anyone who practices divination, an omen reader, a soothsayer, a sorcerer,
27for the people who were in the land before you have done all these abominations, and the land has become unclean.
20But if you have gone astray while under your husband’s authority, and if you have defiled yourself and some man other than your husband has had sexual relations with you….”
26You must not bring any abhorrent thing into your house and thereby become an object of divine wrath along with it. You must absolutely detest and abhor it, for it is an object of divine wrath.

8“You are to say to them:‘Any man from the house of Israel or from the resident foreigners who live in their midst, who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice
9but does not bring it to the entrance of the Meeting Tent to offer it to the LORD– that person will be cut off from his people.
5A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor should a man dress up in women’s clothing, for anyone who does this is offensive to the LORD your God.
18so that they cannot teach you all the abhorrent ways they worship their gods, causing you to sin against the LORD your God.
2“When a person sins and commits a trespass against the LORD by deceiving his fellow citizen in regard to something held in trust, or a pledge, or something stolen, or by extorting something from his fellow citizen,

19“But if you people ever turn away from me, fail to obey the regulations and rules I instructed you to keep, and decide to serve and worship other gods,
7The witnesses must be first to begin the execution, and then all the people are to join in afterward. In this way you will purge evil from among you.
29For if anyone does any of these abominations, the persons who do them will be cut off from the midst of their people.
31You must not worship the LORD your God the way they do! For everything that is abhorrent to him, everything he hates, they have done when worshiping their gods. They even burn up their sons and daughters before their gods!
16If you violate the covenantal laws of the LORD your God which he commanded you to keep, and follow, worship, and bow down to other gods, the LORD will be very angry with you and you will disappear quickly from the good land which he gave to you.”
20You must not have sexual relations with the wife of your fellow citizen to become unclean with her.
17Purity in Cultic Personnel There must never be a sacred prostitute among the young women of Israel nor a sacred male prostitute among the young men of Israel.
