20But he added,“You cannot see my face, for no one can see me and live.”
15The Nature of Israel’s God Be very careful, then, because you saw no form at the time the LORD spoke to you at Horeb from the middle of the fire.
8and all the people answered together,“All that the LORD has commanded we will do!” So Moses brought the words of the people back to the LORD.
9The LORD said to Moses,“I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people may hear when I speak with you and so that they will always believe in you.” And Moses told the words of the people to the LORD.
4But you who remained faithful to the LORD your God are still alive to this very day, every one of you.
8With him I will speak face to face, openly, and not in riddles; and he will see the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”
31When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight, and when he approached to investigate, there came the voice of the Lord,
24The LORD commanded us to obey all these statutes and to revere him so that it may always go well for us and he may preserve us, as he has to this day.
6Events at Horeb The LORD our God spoke to us at Horeb and said,“You have stayed in the area of this mountain long enough.
18When this voice was conveyed from heaven, we ourselves heard it, for we were with him on the holy mountain.
22For all the people have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have tempted me now these ten times, and have not obeyed me,
19Then we left Horeb and passed through all that immense, forbidding wilderness that you saw on the way to the Amorite hill country as the LORD our God had commanded us to do, finally arriving at Kadesh Barnea.
2They said,“Has the LORD spoken only through Moses? Has he not also spoken through us?” And the LORD heard it.
17For the LORD our God took us and our fathers out of slavery in the land of Egypt and performed these awesome miracles before our very eyes. He continually protected us as we traveled and when we passed through nations.
3Moses came and told the people all the LORD’s words and all the decisions. All the people answered together,“We are willing to do all the words that the LORD has said,”
11When we heard the news we lost our courage and no one could even breathe for fear of you. For the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on earth below!
5The LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there and proclaimed the LORD by name.
28Say to them,‘As I live, says the LORD, I will surely do to you just what you have spoken in my hearing.
38This is the man who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors, and he received living oracles to give to you.
7He took the Book of the Covenant and read it aloud to the people, and they said,“We are willing to do and obey all that the LORD has spoken.”
