13 Moreover, he said to me,“I have taken note of these people; they are a stubborn lot!
3 Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go up among you, for you are a stiff-necked people, and I might destroy you on the way.”
9 Then the LORD said to Moses:“I have seen this people. Look what a stiff-necked people they are!
16 Therefore, cleanse your heart and stop being so stubborn!
8 Now, don’t be stubborn like your fathers! Submit to the LORD and come to his sanctuary which he has permanently consecrated. Serve the LORD your God so that he might relent from his raging anger.

23 then he will drive out all these nations ahead of you, and you will dispossess nations greater and stronger than you.
13 I gave you a land in which you had not worked hard; you took up residence in cities you did not build and you are eating the produce of vineyards and olive groves you did not plant.’

53 After all, you picked them out of all the nations of the earth to be your special possession, just as you, O Sovereign LORD, announced through your servant Moses when you brought our ancestors out of Egypt.”
