  • 20A Divine Decision The LORD was furious with Israel. He said,“This nation has violated the terms of the covenant I made with their ancestors by disobeying me.

  • 23Your ancestors, however, did not listen to me or pay any attention to me. They stubbornly refused to pay attention or to respond to any discipline.’

  • 7then I will remove Israel from the land I have given them, I will abandon this temple I have consecrated with my presence, and Israel will be mocked and ridiculed among all the nations.

  • 26But the LORD was angry at me because of you and would not listen to me. Instead, he said to me,“Enough of that! Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

  • 13The LORD answered,“This has happened because these people have rejected my laws which I gave them. They have not obeyed me or followed those laws.

  • 14The First Blow: Water to Blood The LORD said to Moses,“Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to release the people.

  • 1Every Effect has its Cause Listen, you Israelites, to this message which the LORD is proclaiming against you! This message is for the entire clan I brought up from the land of Egypt:

  • 13The Lord says,“These people say they are loyal to me; they say wonderful things about me, but they are not really loyal to me. Their worship consists of nothing but man-made ritual.
