21Then the LORD told me about some men from Anathoth who were threatening to kill me. They had threatened,“Stop prophesying in the name of the LORD or we will kill you!”
1LORD, you have always been fair whenever I have complained to you. However, I would like to speak with you about the disposition of justice. Why are wicked people successful? Why do all dishonest people have such easy lives?
23Rouse yourself, wake up and vindicate me! My God and Lord, defend my just cause!
24Vindicate me by your justice, O LORD my God! Do not let them gloat over me!

22Let cries of terror be heard in their houses when you send bands of raiders unexpectedly to plunder them. For they have virtually dug a pit to capture me and have hidden traps for me to step into.
23But you, LORD, know all their plots to kill me. Do not pardon their crimes! Do not ignore their sins as though you had erased them! Let them be brought down in defeat before you! Deal with them while you are still angry!
2Make a just decision on my behalf! Decide what is right!
19Then I said,“LORD, pay attention to me. Listen to what my enemies are saying.
20Should good be paid back with evil? Yet they are virtually digging a pit to kill me. Just remember how I stood before you pleading on their behalf to keep you from venting your anger on them.
24Therefore, the Sovereign LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the Powerful One of Israel, says this:“Ah, I will seek vengeance against my adversaries, I will take revenge against my enemies.
1O LORD, the God who avenges! O God who avenges, reveal your splendor!
10As for you, O LORD, have mercy on me and raise me up, so I can pay them back!”
3Why do you force me to witness injustice? Why do you put up with wrongdoing? Destruction and violence confront me; conflict is present and one must endure strife.
20May the LORD repay my accusers in this way, those who say evil things about me!
15Look at what they are saying to me,“Where are the events in the LORD’s message? Let’s see them happen, please!”
16But I have not pestered you to bring disaster. I have not desired the time of irreparable devastation. You know that. You are fully aware of every word that I have spoken.

18צ(Tsade)Jerusalem Speaks: The LORD is right to judge me! Yes, I rebelled against his commands. Please listen, all you nations, and look at my suffering! My young women and men have gone into exile.
29I will certainly punish them for doing such things!” says the LORD.“I will certainly bring retribution on such a nation as this!
8For whenever I prophesy, I must cry out,“Violence and destruction are coming!” This message from the LORD has made me an object of continual insults and derision.

6Stand up angrily, LORD! Rise up with raging fury against my enemies! Wake up for my sake and execute the judgment you have decreed for them!
4or have wronged my ally, or helped his lawless enemy,
17But you are always thinking and looking for ways to increase your wealth by dishonest means. Your eyes and your heart are set on killing some innocent person and committing fraud and oppression.
4For you defended my just cause; from your throne you pronounced a just decision.
18May those who persecute me be disgraced. Do not let me be disgraced. May they be dismayed. Do not let me be dismayed. Bring days of disaster on them. Bring on them the destruction they deserve.”
24The LORD rewarded me for my godly deeds; he took notice of my blameless behavior.
