16On that day they will say to Jerusalem,“Don’t be afraid, Zion! Your hands must not be paralyzed from panic!
14The Lord Reaffirms His Covenant with David, Israel, and Levi“I, the LORD, affirm:‘The time will certainly come when I will fulfill my gracious promise concerning the nations of Israel and Judah.
11So now, tell the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem this: The LORD says,‘I am preparing to bring disaster on you! I am making plans to punish you. So, every one of you, stop the evil things you have been doing. Correct the way you have been living and do what is right.’
9“I, the LORD, say:‘This shows how I will ruin the highly exalted position in which Judah and Jerusalem take pride.
9All the nations will hear about all the good things which I will do to them. This city will bring me fame, honor, and praise before them for the joy that I bring it. The nations will tremble in awe at all the peace and prosperity that I will provide for it.’

6The LORD said to me,“Announce all the following words in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem:‘Listen to the terms of my covenant with you and carry them out!
8Do not be afraid of those to whom I send you, for I will be with you to protect you,” says the LORD.
5Here then, this is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has said:‘Think carefully about what you are doing.
3The LORD says,‘I have returned to Zion and will live within Jerusalem. Now Jerusalem will be called“truthful city,”“mountain of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies,”“holy mountain.”’
4Moreover, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says,‘Old men and women will once more live in the plazas of Jerusalem, each one leaning on a cane because of advanced age.
8So take warning, Jerusalem, or I will abandon you in disgust and make you desolate, a place where no one can live.”
21Do not fear, my land! Rejoice and be glad, because the LORD has accomplished great things!
14“Oh people of Jerusalem, purify your hearts from evil so that you may yet be delivered. How long will you continue to harbor up wicked schemes within you?
12“Do not say,‘Conspiracy,’ every time these people say the word. Don’t be afraid of what scares them; don’t be terrified.
13You must recognize the authority of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. He is the one you must respect; he is the one you must fear.
7The Instruction of the People“Moreover, this is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has said:‘Pay close attention to these things also.
20The LORD of Heaven’s Armies says,‘It will someday come to pass that people– residents of many cities– will come.
21Indeed, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel has already spoken about the valuable articles that are left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
8But if that nation I threatened stops doing wrong, I will cancel the destruction I intended to do to it.
10‘If you will just stay in this land, I will build you up. I will not tear you down. I will firmly plant you. I will not uproot you. For I am filled with sorrow because of the disaster that I have brought on you.
11Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon whom you now fear. Do not be afraid of him because I will be with you to save you and to rescue you from his power. I, the LORD, affirm it!
7I thought,‘Certainly you will respect me! Now you will accept correction!’ If she had done so, her home would not be destroyed by all the punishments I have threatened. But they eagerly sinned in everything they did.
9Then I said,“The thing that you are doing is wrong! Should you not conduct yourselves in the fear of our God in order to avoid the reproach of the Gentiles who are our enemies?
5“Do not fear, because I made a promise to your ancestors when they left Egypt, and my Spirit even now testifies to you.”
