- Gen 11:6-8 : 6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people are one, and they all have one language; and this is what they begin to do: now nothing will be withheld from them which they have planned to do. 7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.
- Gen 40:9-9 : 9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me; 10 And on the vine were three branches: and it seemed to bud, and its blossoms burst forth, and its clusters produced ripe grapes: 11 And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand. 12 And Joseph said to him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days: 13 Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head, and restore you to your place; and you shall deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, as you did when you were his butler. 14 But remember me when it is well with you, and show kindness, please, to me, and mention me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house: 15 For indeed I was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews: and here also I have done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon. 16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was favorable, he said to Joseph, I also was in my dream, and behold, I had three white baskets on my head: 17 And in the uppermost basket there were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh; and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head. 18 And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation of it: The three baskets are three days: 19 Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head from off you, and will hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from off you.
- Gen 41:15-36 : 15 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you, that you can understand a dream to interpret it. 16 So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace. 17 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, In my dream, I stood on the bank of the river. 18 And saw seven cows come up out of the river, fat-fleshed and well-favored, and they grazed in a meadow. 19 Then seven other cows came up after them, poor, very ugly and thin, which I had never seen in all the land of Egypt for ugliness. 20 And the thin and ugly cows ate up the first seven fat cows. 21 When they had devoured them, it could not be known that they had eaten them, for they were still as ugly as before. So I awoke. 22 Then I saw in my dream, and saw seven ears come up on one stalk, full and good. 23 Then seven ears, withered, thin, and scorched by the east wind, sprouted up after them. 24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears. So I told this to the magicians, but no one could explain it to me. 25 Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do. 26 The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good ears are seven years; the dreams are one. 27 And the seven thin and ugly cows that came up after them are seven years, and the seven empty ears scorched by the east wind shall be seven years of famine. 28 This is the thing that I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do. 29 Seven years of great abundance will come throughout all the land of Egypt. 30 But after them seven years of famine will arise, and all the abundance will be forgotten in the land of Egypt, and the famine will consume the land. 31 The abundance in the land will not be known because of the famine that will follow, for it will be very severe. 32 As for the dream being repeated to Pharaoh twice, it means that the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. 33 Now therefore, let Pharaoh select a discerning and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years. 35 Let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under Pharaoh's authority, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 This food shall be in reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which shall be in the land of Egypt, that the land may not perish during the famine.
- Judg 7:13-15 : 13 And when Gideon came, behold, there was a man telling a dream to his friend; and he said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the Midianite camp, and came to a tent, and struck it that it fell, and overturned it, so that the tent lay flat. 14 And his friend answered and said, This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel; for God has delivered Midian and all the army into his hand. 15 And it was so when Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, that he worshipped, and returned to the army of Israel and said, Arise, for the LORD has delivered the Midianite army into your hand.
