  • Num 4:1-9 : 1 And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 2 Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by the house of their fathers, 3 From thirty years old and upward, even until fifty years old, all that enter the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. 4 This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, regarding the most holy things: 5 And when the camp moves forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering veil, and cover the ark of testimony with it: 6 And shall put on it the covering of badgers' skins, and shall spread over it a cloth entirely of blue, and shall put in the poles. 7 And upon the table of showbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put on it the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers for covering, and the continual bread shall be on it: 8 And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put in the poles. 9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the lampstand of the light, and its lamps, and its tongs, and its trays, and all the oil vessels thereof, with which they serve it: 10 And they shall put it and all the vessels within a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put it upon a bar. 11 And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put in the poles. 12 And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, with which they serve in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put them on a bar. 13 And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it: 14 And they shall put upon it all the vessels with which they serve about it, even the censers, the forks, the shovels, and the basins, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skins, and put in the poles of it. 15 And when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to move forward, after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it; but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation. 16 And to the office of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, pertains the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily grain offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and all that is in it, in the sanctuary, and in its vessels. 17 And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 18 Do not cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites: 19 But do this for them, that they may live and not die when they approach the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint every one to his service and to his burden: 20 But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die. 21 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 22 Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, by their families, by the house of their fathers; 23 From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old, shall you number them; all that enter to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. 24 This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve and bear burdens: 25 And they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, its covering, and the covering of badgers' skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, 26 And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar all around, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve. 27 At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and you shall appoint to them in charge all their burdens. 28 This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the priest. 29 As for the sons of Merari, you shall number them by their families, by the house of their fathers; 30 From thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old you shall number them, every one that enters into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation. 31 And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, 32 And the pillars of the court all around, and their sockets, and their pegs, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name you shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden. 33 This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 34 And Moses and Aaron and the chiefs of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by the house of their fathers, 35 From thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that enters into service, for work in the tabernacle of the congregation: 36 And those that were numbered by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty. 37 These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses. 38 And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, by their families, and by the house of their fathers, 39 From thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that enters into service, for work in the tabernacle of the congregation, 40 Even those that were numbered by their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand six hundred and thirty. 41 These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of the LORD. 42 And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by the house of their fathers, 43 From thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that enters into service, for work in the tabernacle of the congregation, 44 Even those that were numbered after their families, were three thousand two hundred. 45 These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses. 46 All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chiefs of Israel numbered, by their families, and by the house of their fathers, 47 From thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation, 48 Even those that were numbered of them were eight thousand five hundred and eighty. 49 According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus they were numbered, as the LORD commanded Moses.

The length by cubits according to the first measure was sixty cubits, and the width twenty cubits. 4 And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the width of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was one hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

  • Ezek 43:1-9 : 1 Afterward, he brought me to the gate, the gate that faces toward the east. 2 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the east; and his voice was like the sound of many waters, and the earth shone with his glory. 3 And it was according to the appearance of the vision I saw, like the vision I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision I saw by the River Chebar, and I fell on my face. 4 And the glory of the LORD came into the house by way of the gate that faces toward the east. 5 So the Spirit took me up and brought me into the inner court, and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house. 6 And I heard him speaking to me out of the house; and the man stood by me. 7 And he said to me, Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever; and the house of Israel shall no longer defile my holy name, neither they nor their kings, by their harlotry or by the corpses of their kings on their high places. 8 By setting their threshold by my threshold, and their doorpost by my doorpost, with only a wall between me and them, they have defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed; therefore I have consumed them in my anger. 9 Now let them put away their harlotry and the corpses of their kings far from me, and I will dwell in their midst forever. 10 You, son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities, and let them measure the pattern. 11 And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, show them the design of the house, its arrangements, its exits, and its entrances, its entire design, and all its ordinances, and all its designs, and all its laws. Write it down in their sight, so they may keep its whole design and all its ordinances and do them. 12 This is the law of the house: Upon the top of the mountain, its entire area all around shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house. 13 These are the measurements of the altar in cubits: The cubit is a cubit and a handbreadth; the base shall be a cubit, the width a cubit, and its border on its edge all around shall be a span. This shall be the higher place of the altar. 14 From the base on the ground to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the width one cubit; and from the smaller ledge to the larger ledge shall be four cubits, and the width one cubit. 15 So the altar shall be four cubits high, and from the altar and upward shall be four horns. 16 The altar shall be twelve cubits long, twelve cubits wide, square all around. 17 The ledge shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen wide on its four sides, with a border of half a cubit around it, and its base of one cubit all around; and its steps shall face east. 18 And he said to me, Son of man, thus says the Lord GOD: These are the ordinances of the altar on the day when it is made, to offer burnt offerings on it and to sprinkle blood on it. 19 You shall give to the priests, the Levites who are of the seed of Zadok, who come near to me to minister to me, says the Lord GOD, a young bull for a sin offering. 20 You shall take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar, on the four corners of the ledge, and on the rim around it; thus you shall cleanse and make atonement for it. 21 Then you shall also take the bull of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, outside the sanctuary. 22 On the second day you shall offer a male goat without blemish for a sin offering, and they shall cleanse the altar as they cleansed it with the bull. 23 When you have finished cleansing it, you shall offer a young bull without blemish and a ram from the flock without blemish. 24 You shall offer them before the LORD, and the priests shall throw salt on them, and they shall offer them up as a burnt offering to the LORD. 25 For seven days you shall prepare a goat daily for a sin offering; they shall also prepare a young bull and a ram from the flock, without blemish. 26 Seven days they shall atone for the altar and purify it, and so consecrate it. 27 When these days are over, it shall be on the eighth day and thereafter that the priests shall offer your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on the altar, and I will accept you, says the Lord GOD.
