ስለዚ ዳዊትን ኣቢሻይን ብለይሊ ናብ ሕዝቡ መጹ፤ እነ ሳውል ኣብ መካከል ሰፈር ተኣሚቱ ነበረ፣ ኢላኡ ድማ ኣብ ምድር ተተረከበ ነበረ ኣብ ኣጠገብ ራስኡ፤ ኣብነርን ሕዝቡን ድማ ኣብ ዙሪያው ተኣሚቱ ነበሩ።

    3ሳውል ኣብ ሓኪላ ተራራ ዝበፊቱ የሺሞን በመንገዲ ተሰፍሮ ነበረ፤ ዳዊት ግን ኣብ ምድረ በዳ ተነብሮ ነበረ እና ሳውል ክተኸትቶ ኣብ ምድረ በዳ ዝመጽእ እንዳ ርኣየ።

    4ስለዚ ዳዊት ሰባት ምርመራ ሰደደ፣ ሳውል ብእዋን መጺኡ እንዳ ተረዲኡ።

    5ዳዊት ተነስኦ ናብ ሳውል ዝተሰፈረሉ ቦታ መጻእ፤ ዳዊት እቲ ሳውል ዝሰየረሉ ቦታ ኣየ ነበረ፣ ኣብነር ወዲ ነር መሪ ሠራዊቱ እዩ ነበረ። ሳውል ኣብ መካከል ሰፈር ሰይር ነበረ፣ ሕዝቡ ድማ ኣብ ዙሪያው ተሰፍሮም ነበሩ።

    6እዚ ዳዊት ንኣሒሜሌክ ሄጣዊን ንኣቢሻይ ወዲ ዘሩያ ሓወይ ዮዓብን ኣለ፡ «መን ምስደይ ናብ ሰፈር ሳውል ይውርድ?» ኣቢሻይ ኣመለሰ፡ «ምስኻ እወርድ።»

    12እንዲሕ ዳዊት ኢላን ጽዋ ማይን ካብ ኣጠገብ ራስ ሳውል ኣነሰ፤ እነርእኡ ወጺኡ ከም ተወስዱ ከውን ኣለዉ፤ ማንም ኣይረኣየን፣ ኣይፈለጠን፣ ኣይተነስኡን፤ ምኽንያቱ ኩሉኦም ተኣሚቱ ነበሩ፣ ዝጥራሕ ንባር ካብ እግዚኣብሔር ኣብላዕላቶም ወዲኡ ነበረ።

    13ዳዊት ናብ ካልእ በኩል ተሻገረ፣ ሩቅ ኣብ ርእሲ ተራራ ቆመ፤ ትልዓል ርቀት በመካከላቶም ነበረ።
