  • 1 ሳሙ 31:1-6 : 1 ሕጂ ፍልስጥያማን ኣብ እስራኤል ሰርሑ ውግእ። ሰባት እስራኤል ካብ ቅድመ ፍልስጥያማን ተሸሽገዮም፣ ኣብ ተራራ ጊልቦዓ ተቐቲሉ ወድቀዮም። 2 ፍልስጥያማን ብጽኑዕ ተከተሉ ሳኡልን ወዲኦምን፤ እቲ ፍልስጥያማን ዮናታንን ኣቢናዳብን ማልኪሹዓን ወዲ ሳኡል ተቐቲሉ። 3 ውግእ ብጣዕሚ ኣስጨንቖ ነቲ ሳኡል፣ ቀስተኛታት ነጥቡዎ፣ እሞ ብቀስተኛታት ብጣዕሚ ተጉድለ። 4 ኣሎ ሳኡል ንዘሸከመ-መሳርሒው፡ ሰይፍካ ኣውጽእ ብኣታ ቀፊኒ፤ እንተዘይ እነዚ ዘይጨውኡ ክመጹ ክቀፍዑኒ ክነድሑኒ እዮም። ግና ዘሸከመ-መሳርሒው ኣይደለየን፤ ምእናቱ ብጣዕሚ ፈርሒ ነበረ። ስለዚ ሳኡል ሰይፍ ኣነሰ ኣብ ሰይፉ ተገደለ። 5 ዘሸከመ-መሳርሒው ሳኡል ዝሞተ ኣረዱ ከምኡውን ኣብ ሰይፉ ወድቖ ምስኡ ሞተ። 6 ሳኡልን ሶስቱ ወዲኡን ዘሸከመ-መሳርሒውን ሙሉእ ሰባትኡ ብሓደ መዓልቲ ሞቱ።

    16ሳሙኤል እንተበለ፦ ኣምላኽ ካብካ ተለያዩ ጠላትካ ኮይኑ እዩ እንዳብካ ስለ ተረአየካ፣ ለምንታይ ንኣነ ትሕተት?

    17ኣምላኽ ከም ብኣነ ዝተናገርካ እንግዲ ኣድሎ ኣሎ፤ መንግስኻ ካብ እጅኻ ቈርጠሎ ንሓርኻ፣ ዳዊት ሃበዎ።

    18ናይ ኣምላኽ ድምጺ ኣይተስማዕካንን፣ በዚ ዓማሌቅ ላዕለ ጽኑዕ መቕጣፉ ኣይፈጸምካን ስለዚ፣ እዚ ነገር ሎምዓንቲ ኣብ ኣንተ ኣምላኽ ኣድሎ ኣሎ።
