እታ ሰበይቲ ንሱ እንተበለት፦ ሳኦል እንታይ ዘገበረ ታው ትወቅ ኢኻ፤ መናፍስት ዝትኣእንኣ ዘለዋን ጠንቂታትን ካብ ምድር ቈርጠሎም ኣወጻኦም ኣሎ። እንግዲኛ ሕይወትየ ሽንገላ ምትዕርኮ ለምንታይ ትገብር?

    8ሳኦል ኣካሕደ ከም ካልእ ሰብ ተለቢሰ፣ ካልእ ልብስ ለበሰ እሞ ብሌሊ ምስ ክልተ ሰባት ናብ እታ ሰበይቲ መጹ። እሱ ንሳ እንተበለ፦ ብመናፍስት ተተንነኒ፣ ስሙ ክነግረኪ ዘለኒ ሰብ ኣብ ላዕሊ ኣመጽኢልየ።

    10ሳኦል ብስም ኣምላኽ ሓረሰላ እንተበለ፦ እንተ ኣምላኽ እዩ ዝነበረ፣ ብዚ ነገር ቅፅዓት ክድረስኪ የብሉን ኣሎ።

    11እታ ሰበይቲ እንተበለት፦ መን ክኣመጽእልካ? እሱ እብለ፦ ሳሙኤል ኣብ ላዕሊ ኣመጽኢልየ።

    12እታ ሰበይቲ ሳሙኤል ምስ ኣረኣየት ብዝለዓለ ድምጺ ጮኸት፤ እታ ሰበይቲ ሳኦል እንተበለት፦ ለምንታይ ተሓትተኒ? ሳኦል ኢኻ እዩ።

    13ንጉሱ ንሳ እንተበለ፦ ኣይፍሪን፤ ምንታይ ረኣይኪ? እታ ሰበይቲ ለሳኦል እንተበለት፦ ኣምላክታት ካብ ምድር እዮም ዝዕርፉ ረኣየ።

    14እሱ ንሳ እንተበለ፦ መልኩ እንታይ እዩ? እታ እንተበለት፦ ሽማግለ ሰብ ይወጽእ እዩ፤ ብረዙሕ መጐናጸፊ ልብስ ሸፍነ እዩ። ሳኦል ድማ ሳሙኤል እንዳለ ፈሊጠ፣ ፊቱ ናብ ምድር ኣሳረሐ ስግዶ ተደመሰሰ።

    15ሳሙኤል ለሳኦል እንተበለ፦ ለምንታይ ኣዕረብካኒ እንተ ኣብ ላዕሊ ኣመጽእካኒ? ሳኦል መለሰ እንተበለ፦ ኣዝዩ ተጨንቂብ ዘለኒ እየ፤ ፍልስጥማውያን ኣብ ላዕለይ ሰልፍ ይሰናኩ እዮም፣ ኣምላኽ ካብየ ተለያዩ እዩ፣ ከኣ ኣይመልሰኒን እዩ፤ ነቢያት ወይ ሕልማት ብምኻነ እንኳ ኣይመልሰኒን። ስለዚ እንታይ ክገብር እንዳለኒ ንኽትነግረኒ ጠሪኩካ።

    21እታ ሰበይቲ ናብ ሳኦል ቀረበት እዛ ኣዝዩ ዝተጭነቐ እንዳለ ረኣተት። ንሱ እንተበለት፦ ሰበይቲ ምስራትኻ እየ፤ ድምጺኻ ሰምዒ እየ እንተገበረ፣ ሕይወትየ ብእጄ ኣሰረድጌ ቃላትኻ ሰምዒ እየ።

    22ስለዚ እባክኻ ናይ ምስራትኻ ድምጺ ስማዕ ኢኻ፤ ቅኒዕ ዳቦ ኣብ ቅድሚኻ ኣቐምጥ ኣሎኹ፣ ብላ ክሳብ መንገድካ እንተ ትሄድ ኃይል ክኖር ይኸውን።
