ንጉሥ ጊብዖናውያን ጠራኦምን እንተ በለላቶም፤ (ጊብዖናውያን ካብ ወለዶ እስራኤል ኣይኮኑን፣ ነገር ግን ቀሪት ኣሞራውያን እዮም፤ ወለዶም እስራኤል ምስኣቶም መሐላ ወሰዱላቶም፤ ሳኦል ግን ብቅናት ንእስራኤልን ንይሁዳን ክገድላቶም ደልየ ነበረ።)

    5እነርሱ ንንጉሥ መለሱለት፡ ንሕና ዝበጥሓናን እና ካብ ድንበሮ እስራኤል እንኳ ንኣትሩ ክንብር እንተ ዘይትረፈ ንምጥፋእ ዕቅድ ዝወሰነ ሰብ—

    6ካብ ወዲኡ ሰብዓት ረኺቡና፤ ኣብ ጊብዓ ሳኦል—እቲ እግዚኣብሔር ዘመረጸው—ኣብ ፊት እግዚኣብሔር ክንሰትዎም። ንጉሥ እንተ በለ፡ እርኣየ እንሃብካቶም በለ።

    7ግን ንጉሥ ሜፊቦሴት፣ ወዲ ዮናታን ወዲ ሳኦል፣ ሓረየዎ፤ ይኸ ድማ በዳዊትን በዮናታን መካን ዘነበረ መሐላ እግዚኣብሔር ስለ ነበረ እዩ።

    8ግን ንጉሥ ካብ ሪስፓ ልጅ አያ ለሳኦል ዝወለዳ ክልተ ወዲኡ—አርሞኒን ሜፊቦሴትን—ኣነሳሰ፤ እንዲሁም ኣምስቱ ወዶም ሚካል ልጅ ሳኦል ዘሎም፣ ንመሆላታዊ ባርዚላይ ወዲ አድርኤል ዝኣስደገፈቶም።

    9እነዚኦም ኣብ እጅ ጊብዖናውያን ኣስረኽቦም፤ እነርሱ ኣብ ተራራ በፊት እግዚኣብሔር ሰቲዎም። ሰብዓቱ ብኣንድነት ወድቀው ሞቱ፤ ኣብ ጀማሪ መከር ዕለታት፣ ጀማሪ መከር ጥራር ጊዜ ተገደሉ።

    14ኣጥንት ሳኦልን ኣጥንት ዮናታን ወዲኡን ኣብ ሃገር ብንያም ኣብ ጼላ ኣብ መቃብር ኣቦሓ ቂስ ቀብሮም፤ እቶም ንጉሥ ዝእዘ ኩሉ ኣገብሩ። እዚ ድሕሪኡ እግዚኣብሔር ንምድሪ ተማሕነ።
