ኣብዚ ዳዊት መሠዊያ ለእግዚኣብሔር ሕነጸ፣ መሥዋዕቲ ምቃጠልን መሥዋዕቲ ሰላምን ኣቀረበ። እግዚኣብሔር ስለ ምድሪ ተመሐረ፣ በሽታ ካብ እስራኤል ተቋረጠ።

    15እንዳ እግዚኣብሔር ካብ ጠዋር ክሳብ ዝተመረጸ ጊዜ እስከም ድማ በሽታ ተላለፈ እስራኤል ላዕለ። ካብ ዳን ክሳብ ቤርሴባ ሰባ ሺሕ ወንድ ሞቱ።

    16መልአኩ እጁ ናብ ኢየሩሳሌም ንምድማም እዩ ኣዘረጋ እንተ ተራኣየ፣ እግዚኣብሔር ካብ ክፉ ዝዕቀበ ተዘዋረ፤ ንመልአኩ ኣለዎ፦ በቂ እዩ፤ ሕጂ እጅካ ኣቆም! መልአክ እግዚኣብሔር ኣብ መታፈኛ መሬት ኣራውና ይብሳዊ ነበረ።

    17ዳዊት መልአኩ ሕዝቡ ዝመታ እንተ ራአ እግዚኣብሔርን ኣለዎ፦ እኔ ክሕደት ጌግእልኩ፣ ክፉ ገብርኩ፤ እነዚ እንሹራት ግና ምንታይ ገብሮ ኣሎም? በጃኻ እጅኻ ብእኔን ብቤተ-ኣቦይ ላዕለ ትኸውን!

    18በዚ መዓልቲ ጋድ ናብ ዳዊት መጺኡ ኣለዎ፦ ተው ናብ መታፈኛ መሬት ኣራውና ይብሳዊ ላዕለ መሠዊያ ለእግዚኣብሔር ንሕነጽ።

    19ዳዊት እንተ እግዚኣብሔር ዘዘየ እናምረ እንተ ተባሂሉ ከመ ቃል ጋድ ወጺኡ።

    20ኣራውና ኣረኣየ እዚ ንጉስን ኣገልጋሎቱን ናብ እሞ ዝመጹ ረኣየ፤ ኣራውና ወጻአ ናብ ንጉስ ብገጽ ኣብ መሬት ተደፍቶ ሰገደሎ።

    21ኣራውና ኣለዎ፦ ጌታይ ንጉስ ናብ ባሪያኹ ምንታይ ስለ መጻእ? ዳዊት ኣመለከተዎ፦ መታፈኛ መሬት ካብካ ንኽገዛ እየ፣ መሠዊያ ለእግዚኣብሔር ንኽሕነጽ እየ፣ ከኣ ዝበትነ በሽታ ካብ ሕዝብ ንኽቆም።

    22ኣራውና ንዳዊት ኣለዎ፦ ጌታይ ንጉስ ዝሓሰበዎ ክወስድ ክይሃብ ይመርትዕ፤ እዚ በሬታት እንተ መሥዋዕቲ ሙሉእ ምቃጠል ንምሃብ፣ መሳርሒ መታፈንን መቃንታት በሬ እንጨት ክኾኑ ምስ ካልእ መሳርሓት ኣሎ።

    23እዚኣ ኩሉ ኣራውና ከም ንጉስ ንንጉስ ሃበዎ። ኣራውና ንንጉስ ኣለዎ፦ እግዚኣብሔር ኣምላኽካ ይቅበልካ።

    24ንጉሱ ግና ኣራውናን ኣለዎ፦ ኣይኮነን፤ እዚ ቦታ ብዋጋ ክገዛ እየ። ዋጋ ዘይኣለዎ ነገር መሥዋዕቲ ለእግዚኣብሔር ኣምላኬ ኣይኣቀርብን። እሞ ዳዊት መታፈኛ መሬትን በሬታትን ብሓምሳ ሺቅል ብብር ገዛ።
