He ate grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until he acknowledged that the Most High God rules over the kingdom of men and sets over it whomever He wishes.
- Dan 7:7-9 : 7 After this, I saw in the visions of the night a fourth beast, terrifying, dreadful, and exceedingly strong. It had large iron teeth and devoured, crushed, and trampled the remainder with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that came before it, and it had ten horns. 8 I was considering the horns, and behold, another horn, a small one, came up among them. Three of the first horns were uprooted before it. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth speaking great things. 9 I continued watching until thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took His seat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, and its wheels were burning fire. 10 A river of fire was flowing and coming out from before Him. A thousand thousands served Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court sat, and the books were opened. 11 I continued to watch because of the sound of the boastful words spoken by the horn. I watched until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given over to be burned with fire. 12 As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but their lives were prolonged for a season and a time. 13 I continued watching in the visions of the night, and behold, with the clouds of heaven came one like a son of man. He approached the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. 14 He was given dominion, glory, and a kingdom, so that all peoples, nations, and languages would serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. 15 I, Daniel, was troubled in my spirit within me, and the visions of my head alarmed me. 16 I approached one of those standing there and asked him the truth about all this. So he told me and revealed the interpretation of these things. 17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings that will rise from the earth. 18 But the holy ones of the Most High will receive the kingdom and possess it forever—yes, forever and ever. 19 Then I wanted to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others—exceedingly terrifying, with iron teeth and bronze claws, which devoured, crushed, and trampled the remainder with its feet. 20 And about the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn that came up, before which three fell—the horn that had eyes and a mouth speaking great things, and whose appearance was greater than the others. 21 As I was watching, that horn made war against the holy ones and was prevailing against them. 22 Until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was given in favor of the holy ones of the Most High, and the time came for the holy ones to possess the kingdom. 23 He said, 'The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on earth, different from all the other kingdoms. It will devour the whole earth, trample it, and crush it.' 24 The ten horns represent ten kings who will rise from this kingdom. Another king, different from the previous ones, will rise after them and will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak words against the Most High, oppress the holy ones of the Most High, and plan to change times and laws. The holy ones will be handed over to him for a time, times, and half a time. 26 But the court will convene, and his dominion will be taken away, annihilated, and destroyed forever. 27 Then the kingdom and dominion and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High. Their kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will serve and obey them. 28 This is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts greatly troubled me, and my countenance changed, but I kept the matter in my heart.
- Hab 1:14-17 : 14 You have made mankind like the fish of the sea, like sea creatures who have no ruler. 15 The wicked pull them all up with a hook, drag them out with their net, and gather them in their dragnet; so they rejoice and are glad. 16 Therefore they sacrifice to their net and burn incense to their dragnet, for by these their portion is rich and their food is plentiful. 17 Is this why they empty their net and continually slay nations without mercy?

We have no desire to know your ways.' 15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? What would we profit if we entreat him?
