Purify the altar when you make atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it. 37 For seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will become most holy, and whatever touches the altar will be holy. 38 This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day: two year-old lambs, one in the morning and the other at twilight. 39 Offer one lamb in the morning, and offer the second lamb at twilight. 40 With the first lamb, offer a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of pressed oil, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering. 41 Offer the second lamb at twilight, together with the same grain offering and drink offering as in the morning, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord. 42 This will be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the Lord, where I will meet you to speak with you.
  • Lev 2:1-9 : 1 When anyone presents a grain offering to the LORD, their offering is to be of fine flour. They are to pour oil on it and put frankincense on it. 2 They are to bring it to Aaron's sons, the priests. One of the priests will take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the frankincense, and burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 3 The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD. 4 If you bring a grain offering baked in an oven, it is to consist of fine flour: either loaves made without yeast and mixed with oil or wafers made without yeast and spread with oil. 5 If your grain offering is prepared on a griddle, it is to be made of fine flour mixed with oil and without yeast. 6 Crumble it into pieces and pour oil over it; it is a grain offering. 7 If your grain offering is cooked in a pan, it is to be made of fine flour and oil. 8 Bring the grain offering made from these things to the LORD. Present it to the priest, who shall take it to the altar. 9 The priest shall take a portion of the grain offering as its memorial portion and burn it on the altar. It is an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 10 The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD. 11 Every grain offering you bring to the LORD must be made without yeast, for you are not to burn any yeast or honey as an offering made by fire to the LORD. 12 You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of firstfruits, but they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing aroma. 13 Season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings. 14 If you bring a grain offering of firstfruits to the LORD, offer crushed heads of new grain roasted in the fire. 15 Put oil and frankincense on it; it is a grain offering. 16 The priest shall burn a memorial portion of the crushed grain and oil, along with all its frankincense, as an offering made by fire to the LORD.

  • Num 18:26-32 : 26 Speak to the Levites and say to them: When you receive from the Israelites the tithe I have given you as your inheritance, you must present a contribution from it to the LORD—a tithe of the tithe. 27 Your contribution will be credited to you as though it were the grain from the threshing floor or the fullness from the wine press. 28 In the same way, you shall also present an offering to the LORD from all the tithes you receive from the Israelites. From these, you are to give the LORD’s portion to Aaron the priest. 29 Out of all your gifts, you must present the very best part, the sacred portion, as an offering to the LORD. 30 Say to the Levites: When you present the best of it, it will be credited to you, as if it were the produce of the threshing floor and the produce of the wine press. 31 You and your households may eat it anywhere, as it is your wages in return for your service in the tent of meeting. 32 You will not bear any sin by bringing the best of it, but you must not desecrate the sacred gifts of the Israelites, or you will die.
