13When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated, ordinary men, they were amazed and recognized that they had been with Jesus.
14And seeing the man who had been healed standing there with them, they had nothing to say in opposition.
15After ordering them to leave the council, they conferred among themselves.
16They said, 'What are we to do with these men? For it is clear to everyone living in Jerusalem that a notable sign has been performed through them, and we cannot deny it.'

34Then Peter began to speak: 'Now I truly understand that God does not show favoritism,
19He said, 'Give me this authority too, so that everyone I lay my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.'
20But Peter said to him, 'May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!'
32Now it happened that as Peter was traveling through all those regions, he went down to visit the saints who lived in Lydda.
35Then he said to them, 'Men of Israel, take care what you are about to do with these men.'
21At daybreak, they entered the temple courts as they had been told and began to teach the people. When the high priest and his associates arrived, they convened the Sanhedrin—the full assembly of the elders of Israel—and sent to the jail for the apostles.
