    33In his humiliation justice was taken away from him. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.

    34The eunuch said to Philip, 'I ask you, who is the prophet talking about? Himself or someone else?'

    35Then Philip began to speak, and starting from this Scripture, he preached to him the good news about Jesus.

    36As they traveled along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, 'Look, here is water! What is stopping me from being baptized?'

    37Philip said, 'If you believe with all your heart, you may.' The eunuch answered, 'I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.'

    38He ordered the chariot to stop, and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.

    39When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing.

    40Philip, however, was found at Azotus, and as he traveled, he preached the good news in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.
