Moses said to the LORD, 'The people cannot come up Mount Sinai because You yourself warned us, saying: Set boundaries around the mountain and consecrate it.'

14Moses went down from the mountain to the people, consecrated them, and they washed their garments.

21The LORD said to Moses, 'Go down and warn the people not to force their way through to see the LORD, or many of them will perish.'
