2Only Moses is to approach the LORD; the others must not come near, and the people must not go up with him.
7Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp, far away from it. He called it the 'tent of meeting.' Anyone who sought the LORD would go out to the tent of meeting outside the camp.
8And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would rise and stand at the entrance to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent.
9As Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and the LORD would speak with Moses.
10When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, they would rise and worship, each at the entrance of their own tent.
5Then the LORD came down in a cloud, stood there with him, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
6Moses and Aaron left the assembly and went to the entrance of the tent of meeting. They fell facedown, and the glory of the LORD appeared to them.
13The next day, Moses sat to judge the people, and they stood around him from morning until evening.
31Moses was amazed at what he saw. As he approached to look more closely, he heard the voice of the Lord say,
5At that time, I stood between the LORD and you to declare His word to you, because you were afraid of the fire and did not go up the mountain. He said:
1Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
13So Moses set out with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up to the mountain of God.

21The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am trembling with fear."
13Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the community went out to meet them outside the camp.
5God said, 'Do not come any closer. Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.'
