    18 Moses entered the cloud as he went up the mountain, and he stayed on the mountain for forty days and forty nights.

    4 Moses wrote down all the words of the LORD. Early the next morning, he built an altar at the base of the mountain and set up twelve pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel.

  • 14 Moses went down from the mountain to the people, consecrated them, and they washed their garments.

  • 12 Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, brought a burnt offering and other sacrifices to God. Aaron and all the elders of Israel came to eat bread with Moses’ father-in-law in the presence of God.
