31Moses was amazed at what he saw. As he approached to look more closely, he heard the voice of the Lord say,
15So I turned and went down the mountain while it was ablaze with fire, with the two tablets of the covenant in my hands.
27The LORD said to Moses, "Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel."
28Moses was there with the LORD for forty days and forty nights. He did not eat any bread or drink any water, and he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.

21The people remained at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.
22Then the LORD said to Moses, 'This is what you shall say to the children of Israel: You yourselves have seen that I have spoken to you from heaven.'
14They will tell the inhabitants of this land about it. They have already heard that you, LORD, are among these people, that you, LORD, have been seen face to face, that your cloud stays over them, and that you go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.
6Moses and Aaron left the assembly and went to the entrance of the tent of meeting. They fell facedown, and the glory of the LORD appeared to them.
17The LORD said to Moses, 'I will do the very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in My eyes, and I know you by name.'
15Then Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hands—tablets that were inscribed on both sides, front and back.

24The LORD replied, 'Go down and bring Aaron up with you. But the priests and the people must not force their way up to the LORD, or He will break out against them.'

32Afterward, all the Israelites came near, and he gave them all the commands that the LORD had given him on Mount Sinai.
