Then he shall pour out all the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offerings. 26 He shall burn all the fat on the altar, just as the fat of the peace offerings. In this way, the priest will make atonement for the man's sin, and he will be forgiven. 27 If any individual from among the common people sins unintentionally by violating a command of the LORD that should not be done and becomes guilty, 28 when they become aware of the sin they have committed, they must bring as an offering a female goat without defect for the sin they have committed. 29 They are to lay their hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place of the burnt offering. 30 The priest shall take some of its blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offerings, and he shall pour out all the remaining blood at the base of the altar. 31 He shall remove all its fat, just as the fat is removed from the peace offerings. The priest shall burn it on the altar as a pleasing aroma to the LORD. In this way, the priest will make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven. 32 If they bring a lamb as their sin offering, it must be a female without defect. 33 They are to lay their hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it as a sin offering in the place where the burnt offerings are slaughtered. 34 The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offerings. Then he shall pour out all the rest of its blood at the base of the altar. 35 He shall remove all its fat, as the fat is removed from the lamb of the fellowship offering, and the priest shall burn it on the altar as a food offering to the LORD made by fire. In this way, the priest will make atonement for the person’s sin, and they will be forgiven.
