12 and to be the father of the circumcised who are not only circumcised but also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised.
13 For the promise to Abraham or his descendants that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.
5 But to the one who does not work but believes in the one who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.
6 Just as David also speaks of the blessedness of the person to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
7 By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverent fear prepared an ark for the salvation of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

19 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what He has promised him.
30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness, that is, a righteousness that is by faith;
8 You found his heart faithful before You, and You made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites to his descendants. And You have kept Your promise because You are righteous.
13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,
2 For by it the ancients were commended.
1 After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, and your reward will be very great."
