15The Philistines stopped up all the wells that his father’s servants had dug during the days of Abraham his father, filling them with dirt.

27Isaac asked them, "Why have you come to me, since you were hostile to me and sent me away?"
28They replied, "We have clearly seen that the LORD has been with you. So we said, 'There should now be an oath between us and you; let us make a covenant with you.'"
1Now there was a famine in the land, apart from the earlier famine that had occurred in the days of Abraham. So Isaac went to Abimelech, the king of the Philistines, in Gerar.
2The LORD appeared to him and said, "Do not go down to Egypt. Stay in the land that I will show you.
6So Isaac settled in Gerar.
8After Isaac had been there a long time, Abimelech, king of the Philistines, looked out a window and saw Isaac caressing Rebekah, his wife.
9So Abimelech summoned Isaac and said, "Surely, she is your wife. Why did you say, 'She is my sister'?" Isaac replied, "Because I thought I might be killed on account of her."
10Then Abimelech said, "What have you done to us? One of the people could have easily slept with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us."
11So Abimelech gave orders to all the people: "Whoever touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death."
12Isaac sowed seed in that land, and in that same year he reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him.
13The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
15And Abimelech said, 'My land is before you; settle wherever you please.'
31They rose early in the morning and took an oath to one another. Then Isaac sent them on their way, and they departed from him in peace.
32That same day, Isaac's servants came and told him about the well they had dug, saying, "We have found water!"
22At that time, Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, said to Abraham, 'God is with you in everything you do.'
9Then Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, 'What have you done to us? How have I wronged you that you have brought such a great sin upon me and my kingdom? You have done things to me that should never be done.'
10And Abimelech asked Abraham, 'What was your reason for doing this?'
11Abraham replied, 'I thought, Surely there is no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.'
25Then Abraham rebuked Abimelech about the well of water that Abimelech’s servants had seized.
9Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you go to the left, I will go to the right; if you go to the right, I will go to the left."
9He said to his people, "Look, the people of Israel have become too numerous and too powerful for us.
12'Let us get started on our journey,' Esau said, 'and I will go along with you.'
6“Listen to us, my lord. You are a prince of God among us. Bury your dead in the best of our burial sites. None of us will withhold his burial site from you to bury your dead.”
