Then the LORD said to him, "Call him Jezreel, because in a little while I will punish the house of Jehu for the bloodshed at Jezreel, and I will bring an end to the kingdom of Israel."

10 And dogs will devour Jezebel in the plot of land at Jezreel, and no one will bury her.' Then he opened the door and fled.
12 This fulfilled the word of the LORD spoken to Jehu: 'Your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.' And so it was.
14 The LORD will raise up a king over Israel who will cut off the house of Jeroboam. This is the day! What indeed is even now happening!
15 The LORD will strike Israel as a reed sways in the water. He will uproot Israel from this good land that He gave to their ancestors and scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, because they made Asherah poles, angering the LORD.
16 He will give up Israel because of the sins Jeroboam committed and made Israel commit.
3 I approached the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. The Lord said to me, "Name him Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz (Swift to Plunder, Quick to Spoil)."
4 For before the boy knows how to say 'My father' or 'My mother,' the wealth of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried off to the king of Assyria.
16 Now therefore, hear the word of the Lord: You say, 'Do not prophesy against Israel and do not preach against the house of Isaac.'
17 Therefore, this is what the Lord says: 'Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, your sons and daughters will fall by the sword, your land will be divided up with a measuring line, and you yourself will die in a polluted land. Israel will surely go into exile away from their homeland.'
36 They went back and told Jehu, who said, 'This is the word of the LORD that he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite: “In the plot of land at Jezreel, dogs will devour the flesh of Jezebel.”'
37 'Jezebel’s body will be like dung on the field in the plot of land at Jezreel, so that no one will be able to say, “This is Jezebel.”'
4 Hear the word of the LORD, house of Jacob, and all the clans of the house of Israel.
25 Then Jehu said to Bidkar, his officer, 'Take him and throw him on the plot of land that belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite. Remember how you and I were riding together behind Ahab his father when the LORD pronounced this judgment against him.'
26 'Surely I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons yesterday, declares the LORD, and I will repay you in this plot of land, declares the LORD. Now then, throw him on that plot of land, just as the word of the LORD declared.'
11 So Jehu struck down all who remained of Ahab’s house in Jezreel—all his great men, close acquaintances, and priests—leaving not a single survivor.

1 Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty warrior, but he was the son of a prostitute. Gilead was his father.

21 'This is what the LORD says: I am bringing disaster on you. I will sweep away your descendants and cut off every male in your household, both slave and free, in Israel.
22 I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah, because you have provoked My anger and have caused Israel to sin.'
23 And concerning Jezebel, the LORD also says: 'Dogs will devour Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.'
12 Now, get up and go back to your house. When you set foot in the city, the boy will die.
10 Therefore, I am bringing disaster on the house of Jeroboam. I will cut off every male in Jeroboam’s family, whether slave or free in Israel. I will sweep away the house of Jeroboam as one sweeps away dung until it is gone.

17 When the watchman standing on the tower in Jezreel saw Jehu's company approaching, he called out, 'I see a company!' Joram said, 'Send a rider to meet them and ask, “Do you come in peace?”'
17 From there I will give her vineyards back to her and make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up from the land of Egypt.
