  • 12He will demolish the high fortress of your walls, bring it down to the ground, to the very dust.

  • 3When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

  • 36Therefore, this is what the Lord says: 'Behold, I will defend your cause and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her sea and make her fountains dry.'

  • 8But with an overwhelming flood he will make an end of Nineveh; he will pursue his enemies into darkness.

  • 20The fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble, and every wall will fall to the ground.

  • 18But as a mountain crumbles and falls and a rock is displaced from its place,

  • 21See, the LORD is coming out of His dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; it will conceal its slain no longer.

  • 16They were snatched away before their time, and their foundation was swept away by a flood.

  • 19For this is what the Lord GOD says: 'When I make you a desolate city, like cities that are no longer inhabited, and when I bring the deep over you and the mighty waters cover you,'

  • 21On that day, the Lord will punish the host of the heavens above and the kings of the earth below.

  • 6I will make Samaria a heap of rubble in the open field, a place for planting vineyards. I will pour her stones into the valley and lay bare her foundations.

  • 31So I have poured out my indignation upon them, consumed them with the fire of my wrath, and brought their own ways down upon their heads, declares the Sovereign LORD.
