19Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Have they delivered Samaria from my hand?
20Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their land from my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?
33Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria: He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here. He will not come before it with a shield or build a siege ramp against it.
34By the way he came, he will return; he will not enter this city, declares the LORD.

24Through your servants you have mocked the Lord. You have said, "With my many chariots I have ascended the heights of the mountains, the utmost parts of Lebanon. I have cut down its tallest cedars and its choicest cypress trees. I have reached its remotest heights, the densest of its forests.
10Go up among her rows and destroy them, but do not completely finish them off. Remove her branches, for they do not belong to the Lord.
26Come against her from the farthest borders; open her granaries. Heap her up like piles of grain and destroy her completely. Let nothing be left of her.
