  • Isa 8:4-8 : 4 For before the boy knows how to say 'My father' or 'My mother,' the wealth of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried off to the king of Assyria. 5 The Lord spoke to me again: 6 "Because this people has rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices in Rezin and the son of Remaliah, 7 therefore the Lord is about to bring against them the mighty and abundant waters of the River—the king of Assyria and all his splendor. It will overflow all its channels and spill over all its banks. 8 It will sweep into Judah, flooding and passing through; it will reach up to the neck. • Mic 1:1-9 : 1 The word of the LORD that came to Micah of Moresheth during the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem. 2 Listen, all you peoples; pay attention, Earth and all that fills it! The Lord God will act as a witness against you from His holy temple. 3 For behold, the LORD is coming out of His dwelling place; He will descend and tread on the high places of the earth. 4 The mountains will melt beneath Him, and the valleys will split open like wax before the fire, like water cascading down a slope. 5 All this is because of the transgression of Jacob and the sins of the house of Israel. What is Jacob’s transgression? Is it not Samaria? And what are the high places of Judah? Are they not Jerusalem? 6 I will make Samaria a heap of rubble in the open field, a place for planting vineyards. I will pour her stones into the valley and lay bare her foundations. 7 All her carved images will be broken to pieces, all her earnings will be burned with fire, and all her idols I will destroy. Since she gathered them as wages of a prostitute, they will return to the wages of a prostitute. 8 Because of this, I will lament and wail; I will walk barefoot and naked. I will howl like jackals and mourn like ostriches. 9 For her wound is incurable; it has even reached Judah. It has reached the gates of my people, even to Jerusalem itself.

  • Zech 5:1-4 : 1 I turned again and looked up, and I saw a flying scroll. 2 He said to me, 'What do you see?' I answered, 'I see a flying scroll, twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.' 3 Then he said to me, 'This is the curse that is going out over the whole land: for everyone who steals will be judged according to what is written on one side, and everyone who swears falsely will be judged according to what is written on the other side.' 4 'I will send it out,' declares the LORD of Hosts, 'and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by my name. It will remain inside their house and consume it completely, including its timber and stones.'
