8 Then Hanamel, my cousin, came to me in the courtyard of the guard, just as the LORD had said. He told me, 'Please buy my field at Anathoth, in the territory of Benjamin, because it is your right to redeem it and take possession of it.' At that point, I knew this was indeed the word of the LORD.
9 So I bought the field at Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel and weighed out the payment for him—seventeen shekels of silver.
10 I signed and sealed the deed, called in witnesses, and weighed out the silver on a scale.
43 Fields will once again be purchased in this land about which you are saying, 'It is a desolate place without man or beast; it has been handed over to the Chaldeans.'
44 Fields will be bought with silver, deeds signed, sealed, and witnessed in the land of Benjamin and in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, in the towns of Judah, the hill country, the foothills, and the Negev—because I will restore their fortunes, declares the LORD.
25 Yet You, O Lord GOD, said to me, 'Buy the field with silver and call witnesses,' even though the city is handed over to the Chaldeans.
26 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying:
32 Then Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to Baruch son of Neriah, the scribe, who wrote on it at Jeremiah’s dictation all the words of the scroll that Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And many more similar words were added to them.
17 Then they asked Baruch, "Tell us, how did you write all these words? Did Jeremiah dictate to you?"
18 Baruch answered them, "Jeremiah dictated all these words to me, and I wrote them down with ink on the scroll."
4 So Jeremiah called Baruch son of Neriah, and Baruch wrote on the scroll from Jeremiah’s dictation all the words that the LORD had spoken to him.
5 Jeremiah then commanded Baruch, saying, "I am detained; I cannot go to the house of the LORD.
2 And I will call reliable witnesses for myself—Uriah the priest and Zechariah, the son of Jeberechiah.
16 Bind up the testimony and seal the law among my disciples.
2 So I bought the waistband as the LORD had instructed, and I put it around my waist.
2 At that time, the army of the king of Babylon was besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was confined in the courtyard of the guard located in the palace of the king of Judah.
3 King Zedekiah of Judah had imprisoned him there, saying, "Why are you prophesying and declaring, 'This is what the LORD says: I am about to give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will capture it.'
27 After the king burned the scroll containing the words Baruch had written at Jeremiah’s dictation, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
28 "Take another scroll and write on it all the original words that were on the first scroll, which Jehoiakim king of Judah burned.
2 So I bought her for fifteen pieces of silver, a homer of barley, and a lethech of barley.
14 So all the officials sent Jehudi son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, "Bring the scroll from which you have read aloud to the people, and come." So Baruch son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand and went to them.
15 The officials said to him, "Please sit down and read it to us." So Baruch read it to them.
8 Baruch son of Neriah did everything Jeremiah the prophet commanded him. He read from the scroll the words of the LORD in the house of the LORD.
5 So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, just as the LORD commanded me.
6 After many days, the LORD said to me, "Arise, go to the Euphrates, and retrieve the waistband from the place where I hid it."
7 So I went to the Euphrates, dug it out, and took the waistband from the place where I had hidden it. But behold, the waistband was ruined and no longer useful for anything.
8 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
20 After they put the scroll in the chamber of Elishama the secretary, they went to the king in the courtyard and reported all these words to him.
21 The king sent Jehudi to get the scroll. Jehudi brought it from the chamber of Elishama the secretary and read it aloud to the king and all the officials standing by him.
6 The LORD said to me, ‘Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Listen to the words of this covenant and do them.’
10 He spread it out before me, and it was written on both the front and back. Written on it were words of lamentation, mourning, and woe.
2 The LORD, the God of Israel, says: Write down for yourself in a book all the words I have spoken to you.
7 So I did as I was commanded. By day, I brought out my belongings as if for exile. In the evening, I dug through the wall with my hands. I brought them out at dusk, carrying them on my shoulder in their sight.
26 'Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God. There it will remain as a witness against you.
13 He took a member of the royal family and made a covenant with him, putting him under an oath. Then he carried away the leaders of the land.
