It had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 The Lamb came and took the scroll from the right hand of the one seated on the throne. 8 When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of them was holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were slain, and with your blood, you purchased for God people from every tribe, language, people, and nation."

• Jer 47:1-7 : 1 This is the message of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet regarding the Philistines, before Pharaoh attacked Gaza. 2 This is what the LORD says: 'Look, waters are rising from the north and will become an overflowing torrent. They will flood the land and everything in it, including the towns and their inhabitants. The people will cry out, and everyone living in the land will wail.' 3 At the sound of galloping hooves of mighty horses, at the rumbling of their chariots and the roar of their wheels, fathers will not turn to help their children, for their hands will be exhausted. 4 For the day has come to destroy all the Philistines, to cut off every survivor who could help Tyre and Sidon. Indeed, the LORD is destroying the Philistines, the remnant from the coasts of Caphtor. 5 Gaza is shaven bare; Ashkelon is silenced. You remnant of their valley, how long will you cut yourselves in mourning? 6 'Ah, sword of the LORD!' How long until you rest? Return to your sheath; cease and be still! 7 But how can it rest when the LORD has commanded it? He has assigned it against Ashkelon and the coast of the sea.

Indeed, the sons of Israel have only provoked Me to anger by the work of their hands, declares the LORD. 31 From the day it was built until now, this city has caused My anger and My wrath so great that I must remove it from My presence. 32 It is because of all the evil that the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have done to provoke Me to anger. Their kings, princes, priests, prophets, the men of Judah, and the residents of Jerusalem have all been guilty. 33 They have turned their backs to Me and not their faces. Though I taught them persistently, they refused to listen or accept correction. 34 They set up detestable idols in the house that bears My name and defiled it. 35 They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Hinnom’s Son to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molech, something I never commanded nor even considered in My heart. They committed this detestable act to make Judah sin.
