2 This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Go and tell Zedekiah, king of Judah, 'This is what the Lord says: I am delivering this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.'
10 For I have set my face against this city for disaster and not for good, declares the LORD. It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, who will burn it with fire.
8 Many nations will pass by this city and ask one another, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this great city?'
3 Say, ‘Hear the word of the LORD, you kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I am about to bring disaster on this place that will make the ears of anyone who hears of it tingle.
12 But Jeremiah said to all the officials and all the people, 'The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and this city all the words you have heard.'
15 Now therefore hear the word of the LORD, remnant of Judah. This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: If you are determined to go to Egypt and settle there,
8 I will make this city desolate and an object of scorn. Everyone who passes by will be appalled and will scoff because of all its wounds.
6 I have cut off nations; their corner towers are in ruins. I have laid waste their streets, so that no one passes through. Their cities are destroyed; there is no one left—no inhabitant.
32 It is because of all the evil that the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have done to provoke Me to anger. Their kings, princes, priests, prophets, the men of Judah, and the residents of Jerusalem have all been guilty.
6 For this is what the LORD says about the house of the king of Judah: Though you are like Gilead to me, like the peak of Lebanon, yet I will surely make you into a wilderness, uninhabited cities.
7 They will be desolate among desolate lands, and their cities will lie in ruins among ruined cities.
9 I am about to send for all the clans of the north,' declares the LORD, 'and for my servant Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and I will bring them against this land, its inhabitants, and all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy them, making them an object of horror, scorn, and perpetual ruins.
9 I will make you a perpetual desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
