3 And now the LORD has brought it about and done as He said. Because you sinned against the LORD and did not obey His voice, this has happened to you.

24 'This is what the LORD says: I am about to bring disaster on this place and its inhabitants, all the curses written in the book that was read in the presence of the king of Judah.
4 For this is what the LORD says: 'I am going to make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They will fall by the sword of their enemies while you watch, and I will hand all Judah over to the king of Babylon, who will take them captive to Babylon or kill them by the sword.
5 I will deliver all the wealth of this city, all its products, all its valuable possessions, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah into the hands of their enemies. They will plunder them, take them, and carry them off to Babylon.'
22 Therefore, this is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘I am about to punish them. Their young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters will die by famine.’
