27All the officials did come to Jeremiah and questioned him, and he told them everything the king had ordered him to say. So they said no more to him, for no one had heard the conversation.
14Then King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and had him brought to the third entrance to the temple of the LORD. "I am going to ask you something," the king said to Jeremiah. "Do not hide anything from me."
2The LORD says, 'Stand in the courtyard of the LORD's house and declare to all the cities of Judah, who come to worship in the LORD's house, all the words I command you to speak to them. Do not omit a single word.'
62Then say, 'O Lord, You have said concerning this place that You will cut it off, so that no one will dwell in it—neither man nor beast—but it will lie desolate forever.'
3But Jeremiah said to them, "This is what you shall say to Zedekiah:
12Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying:
21This temple, which was so exalted, will be appalling to every passerby who sees it. They will say, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?'
2Stand in the gate of the LORD's house and proclaim there this message: ‘Hear the word of the LORD, all of Judah who enter through these gates to worship the LORD.’
17Therefore, this is what the LORD, the God of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: 'Behold, I am bringing upon Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the disaster I have spoken against them because I spoke to them, but they did not listen; I called to them, but they did not answer.'
16‘Thus says the LORD: Behold, I am bringing disaster on this place and on its inhabitants—all the words of the book that the king of Judah has read—’
4Now Jeremiah was free to come and go among the people, for he had not yet been put into prison.
