3And now the LORD has brought it about and done as He said. Because you sinned against the LORD and did not obey His voice, this has happened to you.
13Your words against me have been harsh, says the Lord. But you ask, 'What have we spoken against you?
13After everything that has happened to us because of our evil deeds and great guilt—though you, our God, have punished us less than our sins deserved and have given us a remnant like this—
14shall we again break your commandments and intermarry with the peoples who commit these abominations? Would you not become so angry with us that you would destroy us completely, leaving no remnant or survivor?
17You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you ask, 'How have we wearied Him?' By saying, 'Everyone who does evil is good in the eyes of the Lord, and He delights in them,' or 'Where is the God of justice?'
2And if they ask you, 'Where should we go?' tell them, 'This is what the LORD says: Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for famine, to famine; and those for captivity, to captivity.'
6The LORD said to me, ‘Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Listen to the words of this covenant and do them.’

19Then the people said to me, 'Will you not tell us what these things mean for us, since you are acting this way?'
19Have You utterly rejected Judah? Does Your soul loathe Zion? Why have You struck us so that we cannot be healed? We hoped for peace, but no good has come; for a time of healing, but there was only terror.
20We acknowledge, LORD, our wickedness and the guilt of our ancestors; indeed, we have sinned against You.

13Go and inquire of the LORD for me, for the people, and for all of Judah concerning the words of this book that has been found. For great is the LORD’s wrath that is kindled against us because our ancestors did not obey the words of this book by doing everything written concerning us.
26But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, this is what you shall say to him: 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:
5This is what the LORD says: ‘What fault did your ancestors find in me that they strayed so far from me? They pursued worthless idols and became worthless themselves.
17Therefore, this is what the LORD, the God of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: 'Behold, I am bringing upon Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the disaster I have spoken against them because I spoke to them, but they did not listen; I called to them, but they did not answer.'
18As for the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, you shall say to him: ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Regarding the words you have heard,
15Why do you cry out over your injury? Your pain is incurable. Because of your great guilt and many sins, I have done these things to you.
10and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears my name, and say, ‘We are safe,’ only to go on doing all these detestable things?
3Now they will say, 'We have no king, for we did not fear the LORD. And as for the king, what could he do for us?
37This is what you are to say to the prophet: 'What has the LORD answered you?' and 'What has the LORD spoken?'
29Why do you bring charges against me? You have all rebelled against me,” declares the LORD.
10They have turned back to the sins of their ancestors, who refused to listen to my words. They have followed other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have violated my covenant, which I made with their ancestors.
11Therefore, this is what the LORD says: ‘I am bringing disaster upon them from which they cannot escape. Even though they will cry out to me, I will not listen to them.’
31You people of this generation, consider the word of the LORD: ‘Have I been a wilderness to Israel or a land of deep darkness? Why do my people say, “We are free to roam; we will come to you no more”?’
9And the people will answer, 'Because they abandoned the LORD their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and they embraced other gods, worshiped them, and served them. That is why the LORD brought all this disaster on them.'
8Many nations will pass by this city and ask one another, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this great city?'
16And the people to whom they are prophesying will be thrown into the streets of Jerusalem because of famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, or their daughters. I will pour out their wickedness upon them.

10But if it does evil in My sight by not listening to My voice, then I will relent concerning the good I had promised to bless it with.
11And now, say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, ‘Thus says the Lord: Behold, I am shaping disaster against you and devising a plan against you. Turn now, each one from his evil way, and reform your ways and deeds.’
9For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: I am going to silence in this place—in your sight and in your days—the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of the bridegroom and the bride.
24'This is what the LORD says: I am about to bring disaster on this place and its inhabitants, all the curses written in the book that was read in the presence of the king of Judah.
