13 Instead, they followed the stubbornness of their hearts and went after the Baals, as their fathers taught them.
14 Therefore, this is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: 'See, I will feed this people with bitter food and give them poisoned water to drink.'
6 They did not ask, ‘Where is the LORD, who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and ravines, a land of drought and deep darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?’
7 I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and its bounty. But you came and defiled my land. You made my inheritance detestable.
8 The priests did not ask, ‘Where is the LORD?’ Those who handle the law did not know me; the shepherds rebelled against me; the prophets prophesied by Baal and followed worthless things.
4 Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the earlier prophets proclaimed: 'This is what the Lord of Hosts says: Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.' But they would not listen or pay attention to me, declares the Lord.

15 They despised His statutes, His covenant that He made with their fathers, and His warnings He gave them. They followed worthless idols and became worthless themselves. They imitated the nations around them, though the Lord had commanded them not to do so.

16 I will pronounce My judgments against them for all their evil in forsaking Me, burning incense to other gods, and worshiping the works of their own hands.
10 Go across to the coasts of Cyprus and look, send to Kedar and observe closely; see if there has ever been anything like this.
11 Has a nation ever changed its gods? (Yet they are not gods at all.) But my people have exchanged their glory for worthless idols.
17 You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you ask, 'How have we wearied Him?' By saying, 'Everyone who does evil is good in the eyes of the Lord, and He delights in them,' or 'Where is the God of justice?'
1 This is what the LORD says: Where is the certificate of divorce for your mother, whom I sent away? Or to which of my creditors did I sell you? Behold, because of your sins, you were sold, and because of your transgressions, your mother was sent away.
15 Yet My people have forgotten Me; they burn incense to worthless idols. They have stumbled in their ways, on ancient paths, and have strayed onto byways, roads not built up.
19 And when you ask, 'Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?' you are to tell them, 'As you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your own land, so now you will serve foreigners in a land that is not your own.'
20 Declare this to the house of Jacob and proclaim it in Judah, saying:
22 And the answer will be: 'Because they abandoned the LORD, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them. That is why He has brought all this disaster upon them.'
3 This happened because of their wickedness in provoking me to anger by burning incense and worshiping other gods—gods they, you, and your ancestors did not know.
30 Therefore, say to the house of Israel: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Will you defile yourselves the way your fathers did and lust after their detestable things?'
6 With their flocks and herds they will go to seek the Lord, but they will not find him; he has withdrawn from them.
11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have been thoroughly unfaithful to Me, declares the Lord.
27 Therefore, speak to the house of Israel, son of man, and say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Yet in this, your fathers blasphemed me by acting treacherously against me.'
7 Do not be like your ancestors and your brothers, who were unfaithful to the LORD, the God of their ancestors, so that He made them an object of horror, as you can see.
7 How can I pardon you? Your children have forsaken Me and sworn by false gods. I satisfied them, but they committed adultery and gathered at the houses of prostitutes.

25 They turned to other gods and worshiped and bowed down to them, gods they did not know and gods the LORD had not given to them.'

9 Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
10 To this day, they have not humbled themselves, nor have they feared me or walked in my law and my decrees that I set before you and your ancestors.
7 From the days of your ancestors, you have turned away from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Hosts. But you ask, 'How shall we return?'
6 A son honors his father, and a servant respects his master. If I am a father, where is the honor I deserve? If I am a master, where is the respect due me? says the LORD of Hosts to you priests who despise my name. But you ask, 'How have we despised your name?'
2 The Lord was very angry with your ancestors.
6 'You have rejected Me,' declares the LORD. 'You keep going backward. So I have stretched out My hand against you and destroyed you; I am tired of relenting.'
13 Your words against me have been harsh, says the Lord. But you ask, 'What have we spoken against you?
5 Why then has this people, Jerusalem, turned away in perpetual backsliding? They hold tightly to deceit; they refuse to return.
1 Hear this word that the Lord has spoken against you, O people of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up from the land of Egypt:
17 Have you not brought this upon yourself by forsaking the LORD your God when he led you in the way?
18 I said to their children in the wilderness, 'Do not follow the statutes of your fathers, do not observe their ordinances, and do not defile yourselves with their idols.
