  • 8How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart is changed within Me; My compassion grows warm and tender.

  • 14Return, faithless children,' declares the LORD, 'for I am your master. I will take you—one from a city and two from a family—and bring you to Zion.

  • 5Why then has this people, Jerusalem, turned away in perpetual backsliding? They hold tightly to deceit; they refuse to return.

  • 7But you have not listened to me, declares the LORD, and you have provoked me to anger with the works of your hands, to your own harm.

  • 25Therefore the LORD’s anger burns against His people. He has stretched out His hand against them and struck them down. The mountains quaked, and their corpses lay like refuse in the streets. Yet for all this, His anger has not turned away; His hand is still stretched out.

  • 28Because of this, the earth will mourn, and the heavens above will grow dark. For I have spoken, I have purposed, and I will not relent or turn back from it.

  • 9It has destroyed you, Israel, because you are against me, against your helper.

  • 6And I will remove those who turn back from following the Lord, who do not seek the Lord or inquire of Him.

  • 13Your wealth and your treasures I will give as plunder, without price, because of all your sins throughout your territory.

  • 14I will abandon the remnant of My inheritance and give them into the hands of their enemies. They will become plunder and spoil for all their enemies,

  • 15You will be a reproach, a mockery, a warning, and a horror to the nations around you when I execute judgments against you in anger, wrath, and furious rebukes! I, the LORD, have spoken.

  • 6For I will no longer show pity to the people of the land,' declares the LORD. 'I will give everyone into the hands of their neighbors and their king. They will crush the land, and I will not deliver them from their power.'
