For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: I am going to silence in this place—in your sight and in your days—the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of the bridegroom and the bride.

5For this is what the LORD says: Do not enter a house of mourning. Do not go to lament or console them, for I have withdrawn My peace from this people, declares the LORD, as well as My lovingkindness and compassion.
13The young women will rejoice and dance, and the young men and the old together. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them and give them gladness in place of sorrow.
10When you tell these people all these words, they will ask you, 'Why has the LORD declared such a great calamity against us? What is our guilt? What is the sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?'
11Therefore, I will take back my grain in its time and my new wine in its season. I will remove my wool and flax, which were to cover her nakedness.
15The joy of our hearts has ended; our dancing has turned into mourning.

33Joy and gladness have been taken from the fertile fields and the land of Moab. I have stopped the wine flowing from the presses; no one treads them with shouts of joy. There is no joyful shouting.

11But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as I did in the past, declares the LORD of Hosts.
41They will burn down your houses and execute judgment on you in the sight of many women. I will bring an end to your prostitution, and you will no longer pay fees to anyone.

19This is what the LORD of Hosts says: The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh, and tenth months will be joyful and glad occasions and pleasant festivals for the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.
10'I will turn your festivals into mourning and all your songs into lamentation; I will cover everyone's waists with sackcloth and shave every head bald. I will make it like mourning for an only son and its end like a bitter day.'
27Then say to them: This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: 'Drink, get drunk, and vomit; fall and do not rise, because of the sword I am sending among you.'
14Sing aloud, Daughter Zion; shout, Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem!
15I will strike down the winter house along with the summer house, and the houses of ivory will perish, and the great houses will come to an end,” declares the Lord.
