8 But like the bad figs that are so bad they cannot be eaten, says the LORD, so will I treat Zedekiah, king of Judah, his officials, and the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land and those living in the land of Egypt.
9 I will make them a horror and an object of calamity among all the kingdoms of the earth—a reproach, a byword, a taunt, and a curse in all the places where I drive them.
4 The LORD said, 'This is what you are to say to him: Behold, what I have built I am tearing down, and what I have planted I am uprooting—the entire land.'
7 therefore, I will stretch out my hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will cut you off from the peoples, destroy you from the lands, and annihilate you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

24 Before your eyes, I will repay Babylon and all the inhabitants of Chaldea for all the evil they have done in Zion, declares the Lord.
