  • 17Gather up your belongings from the land, you who live under siege.

  • 3For this is what the Lord God says: The city that marches out a thousand will have a hundred left, and the one that goes out a hundred will have ten left for the house of Israel.

  • 16Cut off the sower from Babylon, and the one who handles the sickle at harvest time. Because of the oppressing sword, let each one return to his own people, and let every one flee to his own land.

  • 11For as the waistband clings to the waist of a man, so I made the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah cling to me,' declares the LORD, 'to be my people, my renown, my praise, and my glory. But they would not listen.'

  • 7It has laid waste my vine and ruined my fig tree. It has stripped off their bark and thrown it away; their branches are made white.

  • 17They will consume your harvest and your bread, devour your sons and daughters, eat your flocks and herds, and consume your vines and fig trees. With the sword, they will destroy your fortified cities in which you trust.
