12He said to them, "Pick me up and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will calm down for you, for I know that it is because of me this great storm has come upon you."
13Nevertheless, the men rowed hard to return to dry land, but they could not, for the sea grew increasingly stormy against them.
14Then they cried out to the Lord, saying, "Please, Lord, do not let us perish for taking this man's life, and do not hold us accountable for innocent blood. For you, Lord, have done as you pleased."
5The sailors were afraid, and each cried out to his own god. They threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone down to the inner part of the ship and had lain down and was fast asleep.
6The captain came to him and said, "What are you doing, sound asleep? Get up, call on your god! Perhaps your god will consider us, so that we will not perish."
47When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and He was alone on land.
48He saw the disciples straining at the oars because the wind was against them. Around the fourth watch of the night, He came to them, walking on the sea, and was about to pass by them.

50for they all saw Him and were terrified. But He immediately spoke to them and said, 'Take courage! It is I; do not be afraid.'

40Then He returned to His disciples and found them sleeping. "Couldn't you men keep watch with Me for one hour?" He asked Peter.
