38But Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, survived.
39When Moses relayed these words to all the Israelites, the people mourned greatly.
7For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with streams of water, springs, and deep waters flowing out in valleys and hills.
35Not one man of this evil generation will see the good land that I swore to give to your fathers,
36except Caleb son of Jephunneh. He will see it, and I will give him and his descendants the land on which he walked, because he wholeheartedly followed the LORD.
6The Israelites journeyed in the wilderness for forty years until all the warriors who had come out of Egypt died, because they did not obey the LORD. The LORD swore that He would not show them the land He had promised to their ancestors—a land flowing with milk and honey.
30Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
7Turn and set out on your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites and to all their neighbors—the Arabah, the hill country, the lowlands, the Negev, and the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates.
8See, I have set the land before you. Go and take possession of the land that the LORD swore to give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—and to their descendants after them.
30Not one of you will enter the land I swore by uplifted hand to settle you in, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
31But your children, whom you said would be plunder, I will bring them in to know the land that you have rejected.
9And so that you may live long in the land the LORD swore to give to your ancestors and their descendants—a land flowing with milk and honey.
5They said, "If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not make us cross the Jordan."
2Command the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance—the land of Canaan with its boundaries:
24They said to Joshua, "The LORD has surely given the whole land into our hands; all the inhabitants of the land are melting in fear because of us."
25They captured fortified cities and fertile land. They took possession of houses filled with every good thing, hewn cisterns, vineyards, olive groves, and fruit trees in abundance. They ate, were satisfied, grew fat, and delighted themselves in Your great goodness.

19Then we set out from Horeb and went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw, on the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us. And we came to Kadesh-barnea.
39And the little ones you said would be taken as plunder—your children who do not yet know good from evil—they will enter the land. I will give it to them, and they will take possession of it.
