12 Speak to the Israelites: If a man’s wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him,
13 and another man has sexual relations with her secretly, and it is hidden from her husband, and she is not caught but has become defiled, even though there is no witness against her,
14 and if a spirit of jealousy comes over the husband and he becomes suspicious of his wife, whether she has defiled herself or not,
15 The man shall bring his wife to the priest, along with an offering on her behalf: a tenth of an ephah of barley flour. He shall not pour oil on it or put frankincense on it, because it is a grain offering for jealousy, a grain offering of remembrance to bring iniquity to mind.
16 The priest is to bring her forward and have her stand before the Lord.
18 After the woman is made to stand before the Lord, the priest will loosen her hair, place the grain offering of remembrance, which is the grain offering for jealousy, into her hands, and hold in his hands the bitter water that brings a curse.
19 The priest shall put her under oath and say to her, 'If no man has lain with you and you have not gone astray, defiling yourself while under your husband’s authority, may you be free from this bitter water that brings a curse.'
20 But if you have gone astray while under your husband’s authority and defiled yourself, and if a man other than your husband has had sexual relations with you—
21 then the priest will put the woman under the curse oath and say to her, 'May the Lord make you a curse and an example of cursing among your people by making your thigh waste away and your abdomen swell.'

6 But if her father rules against her when he hears about it, none of her vows or pledges by which she has obligated herself will stand. The LORD will forgive her because her father has objected to it.
7 If she marries after making a vow or rashly uttering a binding obligation by which she binds herself,
8 and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her, her vows or obligations she has made will stand.
