17So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and from his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and from the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18And with them their brethren of the second rank, Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Elipheleh, Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, the porters.
29Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God back to Jerusalem: and they stayed there.
6And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chiefs of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar and one taken for Ithamar.
4And he appointed certain Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:
5Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obededom, and Jeiel with psalteries and harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;

2And David said to all the congregation of Israel, If it seems good to you, and if it is of the LORD our God, let us send out to our brothers everywhere, who are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites who are in their cities and surrounding areas, that they may gather themselves to us:
11And King David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak to the elders of Judah, saying, Why are you the last to bring the king back to his house? Since the speech of all Israel has come to the king, even to his house.

36And Elioenai, and Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, and Benaiah,
7And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest; and they followed Adonijah and helped him.

21And Abiathar told David that Saul had killed the LORD'S priests.
24And behold, Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had passed out of the city.

27And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also wore an ephod of linen.
